The Gernon Brown Rec Center is a vital part of the New Orleans Recreation Development (NORD) and provides a safe and accessible place for the community to participate in sports and physical activities. However, the old and outdated lighting system was not only hindering the overall experience but also contributing to high energy costs. That's why ElecTech, in partnership with Crawford Electric, was thrilled to take on the challenge of retrofitting the gym lighting from florescent and HID lighting to LED lighting.
The project involved the installation of LED lighting fixtures in the gymnasium, which significantly improved the lighting conditions and provided a brighter and more inviting environment for athletes and spectators. The LED lights not only provide better visibility but also consume less energy, which has reduced the overall energy costs at the rec center.
ElecTech and Crawford Electric worked closely together to ensure the project was completed on time and within budget. The team was able to quickly and efficiently install the LED lighting fixtures, and the results were simply stunning. The improved lighting conditions have transformed the gymnasium and have provided a better overall experience for everyone involved.
We would like to extend a special thanks to Crawford Electric for being an amazing partner in this project. Their expertise and commitment to quality have been instrumental in the success of this project, and we look forward to working with them on future projects.
These NORD projects are being propelled by Cleco Electric's energy rebate program, Power Wise™ Energy Efficiency Program, and Entergy's energy rebate program. These programs help to incentivize businesses and organizations to adopt energy-efficient technologies and reduce their energy consumption. By partnering with ElecTech, Crawford Electric, and these rebate programs, NORD is leading the way in reducing energy costs and promoting sustainability.
In conclusion, the retrofitting of the lighting system at the Gernon Brown Rec Center has not only improved the lighting conditions but has also reduced energy costs and contributed to the sustainability of the community. We are proud to have been a part of this project and look forward to continuing our work with NORD, Crawford Electric, and Cleco Electric to promote energy efficiency and sustainability in the New Orleans community.
